William B. Staggs, 85, a retired farmer and resident most of his life of the Waveland area died Monday. He was a native of Howard Township, Parke County born March 22, 1881 to Abraham and Rachel Allgood Staggs. He was never married. Mr. Staggs was a member of the Christian Church at Stansbery, Mo. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Arthetta Myers of Minnesota and several nieces and nephews. Rites were conducted for William B. Staggs at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Michael Williams officiating. The pallbearers were Earl Staggs, Russell Miler, George Staggs, Ronald Pruett, Clifford Delp, Raymond Holes, who also assisted with flowers. NR Walker played soft music on the organ. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery. – kbz
